Wisconsin Senate Approves Marijuana Extract Bill

Wisconsin Marijuana Extracts

With overwhelming support, the Wisconsin Senate approved a medical extract bill to treat seizures. The vote was 31 – 1. The next stop for the bill is the Assembly. The sole opposing vote belonged to Senator Duey Stroebel.

Senator Chris Larson wanted to take the bill further to allow in-state production, according to WTMJ 4 News. Republicans in the Senate shot that idea down rather quickly. It will still be illegal to bring marijuana extract into Wisconsin, but not illegal to use or possess it.

Parents of children with seizure disorders support the bill. They are aware that cannabidiol oil (CBD oil) doesn’t produce psychoactive effects and that CBD is known to reduce seizures and seizure disorder symptoms.
