Wisconsin Sues Milwaukee Stores for Selling Synthetic Marijuana

Wisconsin Cannabis

Two Milwaukee stores are being sued by Wisconsin for selling synthetic marijuana. The stores are said to disguise the product as “incense” and “potpourri.” Lawsuits were filed this week against Atomic Glass and Food Town Mini Mart.

Attorney General Brad Schimel and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection filed the lawsuits, according to U.S. News & World Report. The names of the products are said to be “Scooby Snax” and “Diablo”. Both products are a plant material sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids.

The synthetic cannabinoids can lead to organ failure, delirium and even death. The state is seeking considerable fines and is requesting that the stores stop selling the products.

Both stores declined to comment on the lawsuit.
